The Garmin Nuvi 3790T is a high end portable GPS that offers one of the best navigational experiences of all car GPS on the market at this time. In addition to great features, the Nuvi 3790T is renowned for its gorgeous looks and sturdy build. It’s the thinnest GPS on the market, in fact thinner than an iPhone at just 9mm. In terms of usability, the Garmin Nuvi 3790T has been well designed with two large icons “Where to” and “View Map” plus smaller icons of settings. It’s very easy to get from A to B and voice recognition works extremely well thus making it almost hands free. The touchscreen is also easy to use however. It’s capacitive and very responsive to taps, swipes and multi-touch zoom.

All the features you’d expect from a top of the range portable GPS system are present including text-to speech for spoken street names, lane guidance, junction view, 3D buildings and terrain view, speed and red-light camera alert, lifetime traffic updates and Bluetooth hands free. The screen can be used in landscape or portrait mode which makes the unit suitable for use on foot as well as in the car. The fact that it’s small and light makes this very feasible.

All in all, the Garmin Nuvi 3790T is one of the best GPS systems available in Australia and is highly recommended.
