The Garmin Oregon 550 is a rugged, waterproof handheld GPS that has some great features including a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with a 4x zoom lens and geo-tagging, a tilt-compensated compass so that you get an accurate heading even when the unit isn’t level, and a barometric altimeter so you can keep an eye on changing weather conditions.
It has a 3” touchscreen display which is easy to use and readable in sunlight. Maps can be downloaded using Garmin Custom Maps and routes, waypoints and geocaches can be shared wirelessly with compatibly units.
