Panasonic announced a range of new Lumix wide-angle compact cameras at CES. There are 3 new FH-series models all of which will be available this year and a new entry level Lumix DMC-F3.
The DMC-FH20 is a 14 megapixel camera with an 8x Optical Zoom lens, intelligent LCD that adjusts brightness levels depending on the lighting conditions and can record 720pHD video at 30 frames per second.
The DMC-FH3 and DMC-FH1 have 5x optical zoom. The FH3 is 14-megapixel camera like the FH20 and the DMC-FH1 is a 12-megapixel camera.
Panasonic also announced an entry level point and shoot camera, the 12-megapixel DMC-f3. It has 4x optical zoom and a 2.7” LCD plus auto scene mode with features making it easy for beginners to get good shots.
Prices have just been announced but no dates as yet. The DMC-FH20 is $US199.95, the DMC-FH3 is $US179.95 and the DMC-FH1 is $US 159.95. The entry level DMC-F3 is $US109.95.
