The new Sony Alpha NEX-3 will be available for purchase in July. It’s the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera and is simple to use by both novices who have outgrown point and shoot cameras and more experienced professionals.
Image quality is superb and the feature set is impressive including a 3D panoramic mode enabling top quality 3D panoramic photos.
The market segment has been dominated so far by Panasonic with the initial DMC-G1 followed by the GF1. Olympus released the E-P1 and E-P2. The most recent addition is Samsung with the NX10. In terms of price and performance the Sony Alpha NEX-3 looks set to blow these D-SLRs out of the water.
