Garmin and Asus have announced their latest co-branded product, a mobile navigation phone the Nuviphone M10. It will probably be launched fully at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month and will be available in Taiwan soon afterwards for the equivalent of about $500. There’s no news on when it will be available in Australia.
The new Nuviphone M10 will run on Windows Mobile and features a large, 3.5″ touchscreen, 5mp camera and a microSD slot giving 32GB of storage. The navigation features are likely to be top class. GPS devices are being threatened by GPS functionality in smartphones so this is a move by Garmin to get in on this product sector with an offering excelling in navigation.
There are rumours that Garmin-Asus will also launch an Android device at the Mobile World Congress.
