New Garmin Nuvi 3700 Series Announced

Garmin Nuvi 3700 SeriesGarmin has released details of the next generation of GPS in the Nuvi range, the Nuvi 3700 series. The new models are named the Nuvi 3750, 3760T and the flagship Nuvi 3790T.

It’s the look of the new Nuvi 3700 series that is getting as much attention as the features. The plastic screen of previous models has been replaced by a stunning, gall capacitive touchscreen and the body is metal. This combination of metal finishes and a flush, glass screen makes for a very attractive design. It also extremely thin, just under 9mm thick.

The touchscreen is high resolution with advanced features including multi touch, pinch-to-zoom and rotate-to-twist. An accelerometer lets you view the display in portrait or landscape. The interface is easy to use and intuitive. The device is portable so can be used in the car or while on foot.

In accordance with the Garmin Nuvi naming standards, the models with T incorporate free lifetime traffic alerts. These models also come with bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling.

The top of the range Garmin Nuvi 3790T features 3D terrain and buildings and superior voice technology. A customisable wake up phrase activates the system so you don’t have to take your hands off the wheel. A new, advanced feature, My Trends remembers frequent destinations to use as a default.

It’s not yet know when the new Garmin Nuvi 3700 series will be available in Australia but it’s likely to be later this year.
